إعلان الإنطلاقة باللغة الانجليزية

النسخة الإنجليزية :

We, Sahrawi activists and the founding members of Bentili Media Center, hereby notify the Sahrawi national society that we soon will launch our media center online. Being conscious of the heavy responsibility on our shoulders, we deeply hope that this endeavor would represent an important added value to the national news spectrum, by taking objectivity and credibility as background in our work.
Bentili Center, from its headquarter in the occupied Sahrawi capital of El Aaiun, has the missions of raising consciousness of the Sahrawi cause, through covering and dealing with all the events and cases relating to it; shedding light on the crimes committed by the Moroccan occupation against the Sahrawi people; and breaking the media blackout imposed by the Moroccan authority on the occupied part of Western Sahara.

In harmony with the aforementioned missions, our editorial line includes but not limited to the   following:

Serving the Sahrawi cause and exposing the Moroccan occupation’s policies *

Committing to ethics of journalism *

Committing objectivity and professionalism *

*  Taking credibility as the background for news investigation; and Collaborating with all of our      counterparts with whom we share the same concern for national liberation.

Endeavoring to enrich the national media spectrum, we designed our website to include a set of columns focusing on the different aspects the Sahrawi everyday life. The website also contains some  windows like :

Channel of Bentili’ that features televised reports and news stories on the suffering of victims of enforced disappearance, arbitrary detention, intifada and war injured;
A monthly talk show named ‘Adwae’ (Lights) addresses political, human rights, social issues and others :

‘Dailoul’ is the name we chose for the window of Bentili’s opinion on the Western Sahara related
pressing matters. It is worth mentioning that the word ‘Dailoul’ was inspired from our Sahr
culture, which is currently suffering from cultural homogenization in systematic manner by Morocco; and  ‘Window to Culture’ through which we highlights the different aspects of the Sahrawi culture; like, poetry,  music, traditions, proverbs, publications of Sahrawi figures and even the iconic  landscape markers   archeological sites in Western Sahara. We strive to prevent and mitigate cultural homogenization as well as unculturalism, not only in the context of the Moroccan occupation alone, but in fact globalization as well.
Among the many methods of work that we adapt, we use translation as vital means in our newsmaking process. Our translation team operates in three important foreign languages; namely, English, Spanish and French .
