Statement of solidarity

Several Saharawi demonstrators were attacked in all Western Sahara cities last weekend during a solidarity vigil called for by Sahrawi human rights activists in solidarity with Saharawi political prisoners and demanding immediate and unconditional release. In response to a call by human rights groups to demonstrate in a peaceful and civilized manner with full respect for the conduct of public life in the city of Laayoune / Western Sahara, condemning all arbitrary arrests and illegal transactions and unfair trials against Sahrawi political prisoners distributed on various Moroccan prisons.

In conjunction with the UN Security Council's handling of the Western Sahara issue and UN Secretary-General Antonio Gutierrez’s presentation of the annual report on the situation in Western Sahara and its response to repressive forms committed by the Moroccan state against the repression of demonstrations and the restriction of the activities of associations and the prosecution of human rights defenders  on Saturday, April 15, 2017 to disperse the peaceful stand demanding the release of Sahrawi political prisoners by force and excessive violence behind this violent repression and violent interference among the demonstrators, which caused  drowsiness and injuries of varying degrees of seriousness with the low level of health services and first aid deliberately, which shows the deep hatred that the Moroccan state attaches to all those who demand freedom and dignity.
The families of political prisoners highly commend and support the solidarity of all Sahrawis during the previous sessions after the Moroccan state announced the retrial of our children before a civil court on 26 December 2017 and through the sessions of 23, 24 and 25 January 2017 to the meetings of March. The media, activists, human rights defenders, Saharawi refugee camps, southern Morocco, and the occupied areas of the Western Sahara of all kinds and ages with us as grieving families living a tragedy and suffering for six years from the date of the detention of our sons Sahrawi political prisoners Group Agdaym Izik.

We therefore declare our solidarity with human rights defenders Hammadi and Jodi in their struggle against the remaining Sahrawi political prisoners who are on hunger strike in all Moroccan prisons.

The families of Sahrawi political prisoners bear the full responsibility to the Security Council, the United Nations and the African Union in protecting Saharawi civilians and the fate of Saharawi political prisoners in all Moroccan prisons, including our children group of Agdaym Izik.

Families of Sahrawi Political Prisoners Agdaym Izik strongly condemns the Moroccan repression of all Saharawi civilian demonstrators against their right to peaceful demonstration and all provocations and inhumane practices committed against them.

We call again on all Saharans and all the world for more solidarity and support until the release of their sons Sahrawi political prisoners Agdaym Izik group and the rest of Sahrawi detainees.
